All,
I want to book up the EOS Tournament for 17th May 2009---- Are there any compelling reasons why this shouldnt be on this date???
(By this time the final of the DK Cup will have been played.)

I suggest that we use the end of this tournament to present the trophies for the year.
Does anyone have a list of all the trophies and who has currently got them?

Then there is the issue of player of the year / Coach of the year etc.
Can some-one name all the categories ----- then I guess we will all need to vote????? ------ How has this been done in previous years ???

Is there anyone who can step up and organise this????

I also suggest that we might think about going out afterwards for a drink and a MEAL ------- AGAIN JUST A SUGGESTION

What does everyone think?

I'll also post this message on the WVBA Web page Forum.

Regards
Irwin Aiken

Irwin,

Thanks for raising this question, as its entered my mind recently. In previous years, the chair of the WVA has taken responsibility for the EOS presentations and trophies. As both Richard Morten and Dave Riddle stepped down at the end of last season, unfortunately no-one volunteered for the role going forward.

So my question to the people on this list is, will anyone volunteer to organise the presentation evening?

I can help by supply the league data for "player of the year" awards and league tables, but I am not willing to organise the event myself.

Any takers?

Paul.

P.S 17th May 2009 sounds good to me.

Gentlemen

A suggestion for you.  SVC are holding their own awards evening on 3rd July at the Livestock Market ahead of the tournament.  If you struggle to do anything before Sunday next week would you like me to ask the committee if we can make this a WVA evening also?  It will help our venue as there will be more money going over the bar, yes I appreciate it will be in Salisbury but let's face it, how many times do people have to come to us, it's usually us that does all the travelling.

I think I have a trophy upstairs, ladies/div 2 trophy I think.  I was given to me to return to the WVA, but there was nobody willing to take it.

In addition to any awards given there is the winner of the Ladies League to be handed out.

Happy to give you a hand if I can.

Lyns
